How it works

Three stages. One team. No surprises.

Design, build and maintenance work closely together — but you can enter at whichever stage you need. Here is how a Hammond Landscapes project actually runs, and roughly how long each part takes.

01

Typically 1–4 weeks

Design & consultation

Sam comes out, walks the plot with you and listens to how you actually use the garden — the sun, the slope, the drainage, the access, the views you want to keep or lose. Then we put a clear design and an itemised, no-obligation quote to it, with the build-up under the paving spelled out. You get real options to decide between, rather than a single take-it-or-leave-it plan — and on larger schemes we handle the project management and any planning questions too.

  • Free site visit & survey
  • Design options, not one fixed plan
  • Clear, itemised, no-obligation quote

02

A day or two to several weeks

Build & planting

One team carries the build from groundwork and levels through paving and walling, garden structures and lighting, then turf and planting — so nothing is lost between trades. We work tidy and explain each step in advance. Where a job needs a certified trade — tree surgery or an electrical connection — we bring in accredited subcontractors and coordinate them. Simple jobs are done in a day or two; a full transformation runs over several weeks, and the site stays orderly the whole way through.

  • One team, start to finish
  • Certified trades coordinated
  • Site kept tidy throughout

03

Seasonal, ongoing — your choice

Maintenance & aftercare

A new garden is an investment, and it reaches its best with care. Once the build is done we can keep it right — grass cutting and weeding, hedge and shrub pruning, and attention to the planting as it establishes — so the garden goes on developing and maturing through the seasons rather than drifting back to where it started. Take it as a one-off seasonal tidy, or as regular year-round care.

  • Protects the investment you’ve made
  • Seasonal tidy or year-round care
  • The same people who built it, caring for it

Protecting your investment

A garden is built once and lives for decades. Aftercare is simply how it goes on developing, flourishing and maturing through the seasons — rather than slowly drifting back.
